9:00 to 9:30 AM: Opening Address. Presented by, Robin Jones, Director of the Great Lakes ADA and Accessible IT Center.
9:30 to Noon: All About Employees, Employers & the ADA - Responsibilities for recruiting, hiring, promoting, and firing will be covered in this session designed to help employers understand the accessibility provisions of ADA Title I in relation to Wisconsin's Fair Employment Laws. Reasonable accommodation will be discussed with examples such as modification of work schedules, altering a workspace, restructuring job duties and more. Presenter, Dennis R. 9:30 to Noon: There is No Grandfather Clause: What's Required to Make Your Business Accessible. All places open to the public, profit or nonprofit, must follow ADA Title III guidelines. Requirements for existing buildings remain one of the most misunderstood provisions of the ADA. This session will include a step-by-step review of a survey/checklist to help participants identify existing and potential barriers in their own place of business. Presenter Sally Conway, U.S. Department of Justice.

Noon to 1:00 PM: Enjoy a box lunch and join a discussion specific to your needs or simply gather resources. From bathrooms to signage to websites to building codes, learn from others that have the information you need or can point you in the right direction.

The afternoon was designed for public staff who have the responsibility of providing equal access to government facilities, programs and services.
1:00 - 3:30 PM: Say Goodbye to Barriers - This session focused on the responsibilities of public entities to meet the provisions of ADA Title II to ensure that their faciliites, programs, policies, procedures and activities are accessible to people with disabilities.
